Content Management Systems are web-based applications which are used for the creating, modifying, updating the websites. Themes and plugins are used to extend their function and make the administration of a website simple.
For example WordPress is one of popular CMS for running a website, but other CMS solutions are also available. Some of these are similar to WordPress’s approach but others may also specialised in their application.
The main advantage of using of a Content Management System (relating to web) is to provide the capability for multiple users with different permission levels to manage a website and the content.For example, A website which has Articles, Blogs, Press Releases, Store, Events and assign each section or a part of a section to end users to modify, update ,create, edit, and archive their own.
Important features of a CMS are creating contents and allows users to create and format it.also stores content in one place in a consistent manner and providing Workflow management and Publishing , organising and making the content live)
